Beans:
and Stuff:
like making paper in Youth Group
and grammar and math and geography and all that stuff
and
a visit to the dentist, getting soaked on the way home in a rainstorm, a story about sunflowers, dance classes, gymnastics, plans to have a friend sleep over tomorrow, a great little African shirt at the thrift shop for sixty-two cents,
and more rainstorms,
and more rain
for more beans,
and a bean salad soon to come.
I love your photos - just a little insight into your world thousands of kilometres away!
ReplyDeleteThanks Ingi :)
DeletePhotography was always my mom's thing, but I'm really enjoying it and finding my inner visual artist at almost-40, hehe.
His shirt is fantastic, and I agree with Ingi. Your photos are great.
ReplyDeleteCan you believe my son is allergic to beans? :( I *LOVE* beans. One of my favorite childhood activities was picking and hulling them with my grandparents.
Wow! I'd never heard of a bean allergy. Well, we'll have to find JP a local substitute to all the beans we eat around here, for when you guys come visit. Bananas maybe? :)
DeleteHaha...he won't eat bananas, except in smoothies or banana bread. :) Guess what? I FINALLY did a blog post on middle reader suggestions! http://mandjinanutshell.blogspot.com/2012/06/reading-suggestion.html
DeleteFantastic that your MIL is coming, and can bring books. I had a thought, if I mail stuff to her (the museum brochures and a few other tidbits), would she get it in time to bring it to you? Also, I updated my email address to maleaab {at} yahoo {dot} com. I don't know why the previous one just would never work for you. :(
ReplyDeleteBrilliant! Why didn't I think of that? Even better, I have cousin coming from the US (MIL is in UK). I'll send you cousin's address. Thanks!
DeleteI'm loving the pics too! Just this evening the kids and I were shelling peas and it was so relaxing and fun!
ReplyDeletePeace, Karen
