Lu specially built this table for homeschool purposes
as a carpentry project for his recent carpentry craze.
as a carpentry project for his recent carpentry craze.
So we decided to give it a try outside
and do our schoolwork in the garden today
because it was such a lovely morning.
We mixed it up a bit and started out with Science -
water, air, and atmosphere.
There was a knock at the door. Lu went to get it...
Fresh Onions!
sent down by Cha who's working on a food forest
up the mountain.
Lu: Mama, come look at the cotton plant. It's flowering!
Okay. Back to work. Vocabulary. And a little snack.
Lu will eat all of this and then have a full lunch 2 hours later.
Amazing.
Amazing.
Now some math. Uh-oh. Almost out of coffee.
And I think the cat bowl needs refilling too.
Yay, Cha's home! Noon already?
Cha: Can we have an early lunch?
Me: Sure, if you heat it up.
Cha: Grrr. Okay. I'm starving.
Me: (Yes!) Heat up the tortillas too.
- Cha exits, I do the I-just-got-off-lunch-duty dance -
Speed Spelling and Grammar

Mmmmm..... A Delicious Day
Are the dark tortillas blue corn? Looks like a lovely day! It is rainy, humid, and uncomfortable here. :( Ick...can't wait for a nice, sunny day!
ReplyDeleteYes, blue corn. My favorite. Wishing you some sun!
DeleteYour garden is beautiful. I don't know if I'd like all the creepy crawly things lurking in it though. :)
ReplyDeleteOh they're not so bad. Stepping on a bee or a scorpion is about as bad as it gets. We don't have any deadly snakes or insects in this region.
DeleteI absolutely love your garden school, Gabriela! Lu is a terrific gardener!
